In New Delhi, a CEO of an online shopping company named Vivek Gaur was arrested for his involvement in cheating cases, according to the police. The arrest took place in Gurgaon, Sector 54. The company, led by Gaur, had collected investments from small businesses and investors both locally and internationally. It operated by obtaining raw materials from small businesses in the Delhi-NCR area and giving out cheques in exchange. Eventually, the company declared insolvency and shut down, leading to five complaints being lodged against Gaur. The police revealed that in 2011, Gaur and his business partner launched an online shopping company in Gurgaon, specializing in selling garments and accessories through the internet. Gaur held the position of CEO, while his friend served as the company's COO.
